As North Texas braces for this week’s winter storm, one energy expert says it’s possible some residents could still lose power. The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory that is scheduled to expire at 6 pm this evening. And with the winter weather advisories in place many school districts have announced school closings. NWS forecasters say expect temperatures to drop to freezing after noon today which will likely cause freezing rain, wintry mix to accumulate on roadways, overpasses, and bridges. There is also a chance for power service interruptions as ice accumulates on trees and electric lines.
