Airs Wednesday, July 28, 2021, at 6 p.m. A new program hosted by Tracey Burrell, Director of Clinical Preparation and Partnerships with the College of Education and Human Sciences at LSU Shreveport. This program features members of the educational community share what it truly means to teach children, reach families and inspire communities. On this first program we will discuss Teacher Pay, but not from a wage-earning perspective. While it’s true that teachers are among the lowest wage earners, our panel of award-winning educators believe that there are numerous benefits to teaching that center around improving the quality of life for students, families and society.

Our panel features:

Mr. Spencer Kiper, Instructional Technologist, Caddo Parish Schools and the 2019 Louisiana Teacher of the Year.

Dr. Amy Weems, Assistant Professor of Education, University Louisiana Monroe, 2012 Louisiana Teacher of the Year.

Mrs. Cory Craig, Music Educator, Benton Intermediate School, 2022 Grammy Music Educator Award Quarter finalist.
