Regional Symphony: Shreveport Symphony Orchestra presents Bach's St. Matthew Passion

Airs Friday, April 19, 2019, at 12 noon This past Sunday conductor Michael Butterman lead the Shreveport Symphony Orchestra along with the Centenary College Choir and the PRÍSMA Vocal Ensemble for a performance of Bach's St. Matthew Passion. The concert featured soprano Tess Altiveros, alto Abigail Nims, tenor Brian Wallin; bass Andrew Wilkowske, and as the evangelist we have Derek Chester with Stephen Morscheck as Jesus. The Centenary College Choir was led by director Dr. David Hobson, the PRÍSMA Vocal Ensemble was directed by Adam Philley, and stage direction for this performance was provided by Robert Neu.

The 2019 silver medal winner of the International Global Music Award, Kermit Poling is Music Director of both the South Arkansas Symphony, the Marshall Symphony Orchestra, the Shreveport Metropolitan Ballet, the Associate Conductor of the Shreveport Symphony Orchestra as well as General Manager of the Red River Radio Network.
