John Cortines was earning six figures as a petroleum engineer for a major oil company in Louisiana in his early 20’s. John was meticulous in planning his career path. He had his life and financial goals set and he was sticking to his plans for the future. John was a saver. His plan was so important to him that even his password read "retire_at_40!"
Greg Baumer was a 25-year-old analyst at a Boston private equity firm pulling down $250,000 a year. Greg also had his eyes set on a career path of climbing the ladder to success as high as he could go, but along the way, he was he enjoying the luxuries his salary could afford. Greg was a spender.
They both wound up meeting at Harvard Business School and the way they viewed money changed for good.
