MARSHALL, TEXAS SCHOOLS LOCKDOWN- Yesterday morning a person made multiple phone call threats to Marshall High School in East Texas and to the Marshall Independent School District administration. School officials immediately locked down all nine of its campuses for more than an hour Superintendent of Marshall Independent School District Jerry Gibson appeared on a Facebook Video to explain the security response.
"There was no one that ever entered the building, our police were on point, in fact our police were on point within thirty seconds of the phone call," explained Gibson. "Our entire police department was here
within about five to seven minutes. At no point did anyone ever enter the building, our children, our students were safe at all times. We took every precaution that we could."
Marshall ISD police remained on district campuses throughout the school day on Thursday and anyone who came on campus was required to show valid identification to get on campus. The four threatening calls all came from the same caller. Marshall Police are still investigating. No arrests have yet been reported.
