Fort Jesup Bicentennial Celebration Kick-Off
In cooperation with the Friends of Fort Jesup, the Sabine Tourist Commission and the Cane River National Heritage Area, the staff of Louisiana Office of State Parks, Fort Jesup State Historic Site would like to welcome you all to a learning experience celebrating the 200th Anniversary of Fort Jesup. Students, teachers, and guests are welcomed to the Fort for the day to learn about the early history of Louisiana and the frontier. The School Day will include learning stations covering everything from Louisiana's early military history, the Spanish involvement in Louisiana, historic medicine, historic games, and so much more. The school day is the first in a three day weekend of programs celebrating the Bicentennial of Fort Jesup. This program is open to public, private, and home school groups.
