The LSMSA Math and Computer Science Department enthusiastically invites math teams in North Louisiana, grades 6-9, to participate in the 23rd Annual McGrath Math Competition on Thursday, Nov. 21, 9:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Registration is free. All activities will take place in the gymnasium and auditorium. To be eligible to participate, students may not have already taken Algebra II or any higher mathematics course. Exercises in each contest will come from algebra, geometry, and other areas of mathematics. Questions will be designed to challenge students to draw from their knowledge of mathematics. Schools must register for the competition by Friday, Nov. 8.
