Autism affects 1 in 31 children in the US, with boys outnumbering girls 4 to 1. Although autism is a lifelong diagnosis, with early intervention and special services, individuals can accomplish milestones such as graduating from high school and gaining willful employment and independence. We are excited to welcome back Holy Angels to Teach, Reach, Inspire to showcase the Autism Academy, another valuable resource for the children and families in our community. The Autism Academy teaches children, reaches families, and inspires communities in the Shreveport area.Guests include:Katy Hathon, Education Director. Each year the Louisiana Department of Education in partnership with Dream Teachers acknowledges competent, qualified, and motivated teachers through its Teacher of the Year Recognition Program. But ask any school principal, and they will tell you that they would not have a strong leadership team without their APs or more formally, their Assistant Principals.
