— A city of Shreveport Republican councilman has issued a statement in support of Democrat Mayor Adrian Perkins' reinstatement as a qualified candidate for Nov. 8th election.
— Arkansas' Republican governor is urging fellow GOP party members to support the FBI and other law enforcement agencies after many have been openly critical of the FBI after their search and seizure of classified documents at former President Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago homes.
— Texas school administrators have taken measures to harden door access and beef up security in the aftermath of the Uvalde school massacre last May.
