Arkansas lawmakers have cleared the way for state-run health care facilities to require employees to get the COVID-19 vaccine. A federal judge in Washington D-C has blocked the Biden administration’s plans to allow more offshore drilling in the Gulf of Mexico.
Today -Jan. 31st is the deadline for Texans to register to vote in the March 1st primary election. Shreveport’s Department of Property Standards is partnering with Shreveport Green to establish a Waste Tire Cleanup Pilot Program.




Chuck Smith brings more than 30 years' broadcast and media experience to Red River Radio. He began his career as a radio news reporter and transitioned to television journalism and newsmagazine production. Chuck studied mass communications at Southern Arkansas University in Magnolia and motion picture / television production at the University of California at Los Angeles. He has also taught writing for television at York Technical College in Rock Hill, South Carolina and video / film production at Centenary College of Louisiana, Shreveport.
