50% of all Arkansans had been fully vaccinated as of Wednesday, almost a year after the first vaccine doses were administered in the state. Despite efforts to get more people vaccinated, the majority of covid patients in hospitals are the unvaccinated. State regulators say they have taken sufficient steps to avoid the widespread, deadly blackouts Texans faced during last February's freeze but critics say the state hasn't done enough.
