Community Connections: Foodbank of NW LA
Airs Mon., July 14, 6:30 p.m. Community Connections talks with Martha Marak, who serves as the Executive Director of the Food Bank of Northwest Louisiana in Shreveport. Marak leads efforts to address hunger across multiple parishes, including Caddo and Bossier. Under her leadership, the organization launched “Martha’s Market,” a combined food pantry and learning center that empowers clients through healthy-food selection and educational programs.

Health Matters: Better Sleep for Better Health

Anywhere from 30 to 46 percent of people in the U.S., depending on the region in which they live, report not getting enough sleep. What does quality sleep mean and how can it affect our health? Dr. Anand Bhat hosts this Health Matters with guest Dr. Sheila Asghar, Associate Professor of Clinical Pediatrics and Neurology and Sleep Medicine Fellowship Faculty at LSU Health Shreveport.
