Rebecca Plevin was a reporter for Valley Public Radio from 2013-2014. Before joining the station, she was the community health reporter for Vida en el Valle, the McClatchy Company's bilingual newspaper in California's San Joaquin Valley. She earned the George F. Gruner Award for Meritorious Public Service in Journalism and the McClatchy President's Award for her work at Vida, as well as honors from the National Association of Hispanic Publications and the California Newspaper Publishers Association. Plevin grew up in the Washington, D.C. area and is a graduate of Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism. She is also a fluent Spanish speaker, a certified yoga teacher, and an avid rock-climber.

I was born in New York City and raised outside of Detroit. I graduated from Michigan State University in 2007 with an Honor's Degree in Broadcast Journalism and then took a reporting job in southern Illinois. I worked there for about five months before taking over as the News and Sports Director at two stations in central Minnesota. After two-and-a-half years in the frigid cold, I accepted the position at WBAA in June of 2010. I have really enjoyed my time working in the West Lafayette area. I love being out in the community covering a wide range of events from school board and city council meetings to elections and football and basketball games.

Cliff Shackelford is a 7th generation Texan who began bird watching at the age of nine. He holds both a B.S. and an M.S. degree in biology from Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches and has three decades of experience as a professional biologist. For over 2 decades Cliff was the statewide Non-game Ornithologist for the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department. He is the author of over 90 publications on birds and birding and he authored the book Hummingbirds of Texas, published in 2005 by Texas A&M University Press. He has traveled extensively in the Western Hemisphere, having bird watched in 9 different Latin American countries. He and his wife Julie and their 2 young children live in East Texas.

Charlotte Albright lives in Lyndonville and currently works in the Office of Communication at Dartmouth College. She was a VPR reporter from 2012 - 2015, covering the Upper Valley and the Northeast Kingdom. Prior to that she freelanced for VPR for several years.
