Reopening La. Economy To Be Gradual

Courtesy: LPB

LA ECONOMIC RECOVERY-  Louisiana’s  economy has been rocked by the Coronavirus, and some Republican state lawmakers have called for a reopening of businesses on May 1st. Governor John Bel Edwards has said the virus will dictate when the state reopens, and on Thursday he said any reopening of the state’s economy would be gradual.

U.S. Republican Congressman and House Minority Whip Steve Scalise appeared with the Governor at his press conference yesterday. Scalise has been named to President Donald Trumps Task Force to reopen the economy and offered this observation.

Data reveals that Louisiana has flattened the number of infections, hospitalizations and people on ventilators.  But deaths remain  high, in a state with an unhealthier population than other states.
