NPR 2020 Election Night Special Coverage

Airs Tuesday, November 3, 2020, at 6 p.m. During a year unlike any other in our lifetimes, the question remains, who will American voters choose to lead our country? American voters finally get their chance to voice their opinions today over the cacophony of rhetoric. NPR News and Red River Radio will follow closely and bring you the latest update throughout election night. Join us beginning at 6 p.m. for live anchored Special Coverage from NPR news featuring a rotation of NPR hosts Lulu Garcia Navarro, Ari Shapiro, Ailsa Chang, Michel Martin, and Sarah McCammon, and joining them will be the NPR Politics unit, NPR correspondents, editors and member station reporters, as well as elected officials, political analysts and other guests. And an anxious nation awaits the results of critical contests around the country and Red River Radio will provide you the latest updates Tuesday Night, November 3, beginning at 6 p.m. on Red River Radio.

In addition we will have a running blog below for races in Louisiana, Texas, and Arkansas to help you follow closely all the local races in this election year. These Blogs will be activated Tuesday night.

Chuck Smith brings more than 30 years' broadcast and media experience to Red River Radio. He began his career as a radio news reporter and transitioned to television journalism and newsmagazine production. Chuck studied mass communications at Southern Arkansas University in Magnolia and motion picture / television production at the University of California at Los Angeles. He has also taught writing for television at York Technical College in Rock Hill, South Carolina and video / film production at Centenary College of Louisiana, Shreveport.
