Mass Covid-19 Vaccination Event Saturday In Bossier City

LA MASS VACCINATION— The Louisiana Department of Health has announced  the first Mass Vaccination Events using 17,000 doses of Johnson & Johnson vaccine this week.   The  state  is using nearly half its first shipments of the single-dose J & J vaccine at large walk-up and drive-thru immunization events at convention centers, sports stadiums and other community sites.   The largest of the events will be at the Brookshire Grocery Arena in Bossier City where 4,300 doses of the vaccine will be given on Saturday.                

The first of the vaccination events began yesterday in South Louisiana, one at the New Orleans convention center.  Vaccinations are available to people who meet eligibility criteria.  Pre-registration is encouraged, the event at the Brookshire Grocery Arena in Bossier begins at 9am.
