CADDO H.S. SCHOOL GRADS AUTO ADMISSION TO UNO - Shreveport Mayor Adrian Perkins, along with John Nicklow – President of the University of New Orleans and Caddo Superintendent of Public Schools – Lamar Goree met yesterday to formally announce the creation of the “Caddo Instant Admit Program”. According to the Caddo Public Schools website - Caddo Students who graduate from high school will be automatically admitted to the University of New Orleans if they meet three minimum requirements which include: 2.5 GPA, score a 19 in Math and 18 in English on the ACT or equivalent scores on the SAT. And also submit an application.
Superintendent of Caddo Public Schools' Goree, explained this admissions agreement with UNO better facilitates a student’s path to higher learning.

"As of the signing of this agreement, our counselors can begin your high school career in the ninth grade by telling you these are the minimum grade point average requirements, these are the minimum ACT requirements for you to receive automatic admission into a college, "explained Goree. "We see this alignment as an opportunity for children, especially those that are first generation college goers, to be able to much better navigate what it takes to be successful in our colleges and universities."
Students who gain automatic entry will also be considered for academic scholarships ranging from $2,000 to $5,000 a year for four years.
