  • In honor of Black History month, we recognize one of the many amazing education initiatives at Grambling State University, an institution that emerged from the desire of African-American farmers in northern Louisiana wanting to educate Black children in their region. Grambling State University is one of 9 universities to partner with Clemson University to host a chapter of Call Me MiSTER (Mentors Instructing Students Toward Effective Role Models).
  • Alternative education has been an option for students since the 1830s. Although the definition is very broad and often includes options such as montessori, magnet, and charter schools, many believe that alternative education is designed for students who haven’t been successful in regular schools, often due to behavioral issues or learning disabilities. Here to offer an accurate description of alternative education are three educational leaders who have spent many years serving in this vineyard. Airs October 26, 2022 at 6 pm.
