The 2025 Barksdale Defenders of Liberty Air Show is fast approaching. It gets underway in just ten days. This year, the air show will feature the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds. And there are plenty of other planes on display and in the air. Air show director Captain Miller Trant described what’s different for this year’s event. “We’ve got a formation of Heritage World War II bombers flying in formation with a B-52. We’ve got the C-17 demo, doing things that a C-17 shouldn’t be able to do. And then the KC-135 and the KC-46 all in the air together.”
The ir show kicks off on Saturday, March 29th.
Gates open at 9:00 a.m. The show starts at 11:00 a.m. and runs thru 4:00 pm. both Saturday and Sunday with free parking and admission. And this year the base is offering parking off-site To help ease traffic congestion. Visitors can park at Bossier Parish Community College, with shuttles picking up visitors and taking them to the air show.
