Early voting begins Friday in Louisiana. In Texas and Arkansas, it gets underway on Monday, October 21.

Early voting in Louisiana gets underway on Friday and will run through Tuesday, October 29, except on Sundays. The hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Absentee voting is already underway. Joel Watson with the Louisiana Secretary of State’s office says the earlier you can request an absentee ballot the better, before the deadline on Friday, November 1. “Because the postal service can be a little slow and we want to make sure that anybody who needs to vote by absentee ballot can do so and has the time to return that ballot.”

Absentee ballots in Louisiana are due by Monday, November 4, at 4:30 PM.
Meanwhile, early voting in Texas and Arkansas gets underway on Monday, October 21. In Texas, it runs through Friday, November 1, while in Arkansas, early voting continues until Monday, November 4.

If you vote in person, you’ll be asked to show photo identification.
