Shreveport is getting ready to host the Humor and Harmony Festival. The 4-day event kicks off on Thursday with a comedy show at the Shreveport Municipal Auditorium. “Humor and Harmony” is expected to attract 30,000 visitors to the city August 8-11.
Thursday’s Big Bowl Comedy Show will feature Andrew Schulz, Bill Bellamy, Gary Owen, Kat Williams and Matt Rife. And it’s 50 Cent who headlines the live concerts on Saturday, August 10, with shows at 6:00 and 10:30 p.m. The doors open at 5:00 p.m. for the first show and 10:00 p.m. for the second.
Stacy Brown, the president and CEO of the tourism agency known as Visit Shreveport-Bossier says that rapper, actor, television producer and businessman 50-cent is the mastermind behind this festival. “This is all 50 Cent. He’s the one who came up with the concert, that invited all the great performers and is bringing it all together.”
As reported by the Louisiana Radio Network, 50 cent is also investing millions of dollars in Shreveport to help improve its film industry by building new studios, which includes the purchase of several properties downtown.
