GOV SANDERS 1St CABINET PICK- Governor-elect Republican Sarah Huckabee Sanders of Arkansas has announced her first cabinet member. During a media event Monday – she said her intention is to nominate Mike Hagar to serve as Secretary of Public Safety.
“He will do a phenomenal job leading not only as Secretary of Public Safety but also as Colonel of the Arkansas State Police, one of the most important functions we have as a state,” Sanders said.
Hagar is Troop A Captain for the Arkansas State Police where he’s worked for more than 26 years, his appointment would also include being promoted to Colonel. Sanders’ nomination will be official after she is sworn in as Governor in January. In the meantime the Governor-elect has been putting her office team together in preparation for her term.
