Move LSUS To Be Closer To LSU Health Shreveport?

from file

LSUS MOVING? - Some media reports have come out indicating that there is some serious discussion about the possibility of relocating LSU-Shreveport near the LSU-Health Shreveport medical school campus along Kings Highway. Senator Barry Milligan from Shreveport told KTBS news that LSU President William Tate told him he wants to relocate the LSU-S campus to the LSU Shreveport Health area along Kings Highway and stretch all the way to Youree Drive. This would be a 10-year project.

But after the news story broke LSUS Chancellor Larry Clark issued a statement yesterday afternoon explaining that President Tate is offering what he calls a bold idea and …not a plan to create an enhanced biomedical education complex”. Clark also said there will be no adverse changes now or in the near future at LSUS for students, staff, or faculty. Chancellor Clark stated he expects President Tate will address this matter with an official statement from his office.
