Arkansas Covid-19 Vaccine Rollout

During his weekly radio address Friday Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson  gave an update on the initial phase of Covid-19 vaccinations in the state.

"Arkansas received about 25,000 doses in its first shipment,"Hutchinson explained. "And after four days of vaccinations, more than 4,000 Arkansas healcare workers received a shot this week in the initial phase."

About 4,000 Arkansas healthcare workers have received the Pfizer coronavirus vaccine since December 14, 2020.

With the recent approval of a second vaccine by Moderna, Hutchinson said he expects more people to be vaccinated sooner as Arkansas expects to have the first shipments of the Moderna vaccine on Tuesday.
