LA BALLOT ISSUES - November 6th Election Day is fast approaching and there are 6 constitutional amendments on Louisiana’s Ballot. To get a better understanding of what each amendment addresses, we asked Jeff Sadow, associate professor of political science at LSU in Shreveport to give a quick overview of what each amendment entails. LA CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT 3 - Donations among local governments.
Amendment 3 would allow local governments or other political subdivisions to donate equipment and personnel to each other under limited circumstance.
LA CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT 4 - Protecting Louisiana's Transportation Trust Fund - If Amendment 4 is passed, it would prohibit lawmakers from future diversion of money from the transportation trust fund to support the operations of the Louisiana State Police for the purposes of "traffic control".
