Texas Flu Deaths Top 2,300 So Far

TEXAS FLU DEATHS - More than 23-hundred Texans have died from flu-related causes.  That’s according to the most recent data from the Texas Department of State Health Services. And that figure doesn’t include numbers for January. Spokesperson Lara Anton says the state is seeing  a  high  level  of  flu  right  now...but  that’s  not necessarily  unusual. “Last year we had over 95-hundred deaths from flu, so it’s not uncommon for there to be thousands of deaths in Texas from flu.”  Anton  says  people  in  high  risk  categories, like  those  under 5 or  over  65-years-old,  should  take  this flu  season  seriously  and  see  a  doctor.
