LA. REPORT ON HEALTH INSURANCE:  Republicans in  Washington,  DC  continue efforts  to repeal  and replace the federal  Affordable Care Act commonly known as “Obama-Care”.  The  U.S. House of Representatives passed  their version in a party-line vote last May.  The  Senate has  yet to  release details  of their version or hold  any public hearings to discuss it.   But an independent nonprofit  organization:  The Louisiana Budget Project, a  group that  studies budget policy  in the state released a report  Tuesday detailing how the American Health Care Act, could impact thousands  of families  in the state.  According to the report:  as it stands now,  the  American Health Care Act would reverse  recent insurance  coverage gains  and strain  Louisiana’s  budget.      http://www.labudget.org/lbp/
