Mexican Official Says Texas Has Benefitted The Most From NAFTA

TEXAS ECONOMY and NAFTA: Mexican and Texas officials say the Lone Star State benefited from the North American Free Trade Agreement more than anywhere in the U.S. At the Texas Capitol this week, reminded a committee of state representatives that the economies of Texas and Mexico are interdependent.  The Mexican Consul reminded the committee that 40 percent of US exports to Mexico come from Texas and that the number of U.S. jobs linked to Mexico trade has grown from 700,000 to more than 5 million.
