New Survey Places Louisiana as the "Worst State" in Nation

BEST STATES report by U.S. News & World Report looks at specific categories of each state for the rankings.

LOUISIANA AT THE BOTTOM - According to U.S. News and World Report Louisiana ranks at the bottom of "Best States",  a report comparing specific categories of each state such as education, crime and corrections, opportunity, education, economy and government, healthcare, and infrastructure.  The survey is an interactive platform developed by U.S. News for ranking the 50 U.S. states.  Data was provided by McKinsey & Company's Leading States index.   Louisiana received low marks on all categories. Mississippi, Arkansas, Alabama, and New Mexico rouded out the bottom of the list. Texas placed at #38.
