Zika Virus Case Confirmed In Caddo Parish

ZIKA VIRUS IN CADDO PARISH: The Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals has confirmed a case of Zika virus in a person living in Caddo Parish. In a report released Friday, the DHH explained the case is one of three new cases in Louisiana that was travel-related. The current total of Zika cases in Louisiana is 26. Mosquitoes are the main method for transmission however the disease can be transmitted sexually.
