A Longview-based children’s advocacy center is expanding and adding a satellite location in Marshall.
Martin House Advocacy Center works to prevent child abuse in three East Texas counties -- Gregg, Harrison and Marion. It was founded six years ago.
The Longview News Journal reports it will add a new medical room at its Longview facility, and open its first satellite office in Marshall.
An open house is set for Wednesday at 4 p.m., at the Longview facility, 606 W. Garfield Dr., Suite B.
On Thursday, Jan. 28, the Marshall satellite office will be dedicated at 4 p.m., at 2615 East End Blvd. South, Suite 270.
The Martin House says on its website it serves more than 500 children and their families each year.
It’s one of 68 child advocacy centers in Texas.
