MORE VACCINE DATES ANNOUNCED - January 28 – LSU Health Shreveport’s Center for Emerging Viral Threats (CEVT) is pleased to announce three additional dates next week for the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine for Louisiana residents age 70 and over. Those dates are Monday, February 1, Tuesday, February 2 and Wednesday, February 3. While pre-registration is requested, it is not required. To preregister, go to the LSU Health Shreveport website at www.lsuhs.edu. Updates on locations and dates for vaccine clinics can also be found on the LSU Health Shreveport website. Future offering of vaccines by the CEVT reflect a continued collaboration with CHRISTUS Shreveport-Bossier Health System and Willis-Knighton Health System. The goal of this community healthcare collaboration is to provide the fastest possible access to the COVID-19 vaccine. On February 2 – February 4 (Tuesday-Thursday), second dose vaccines will be administered. Individuals who received their first vaccine at the State Fair Grounds between January 12-14 should report 21 days from the date of their first vaccine to get their second vaccine. If you did not receive your first dose of vaccine at the State Fair Grounds, you are not eligible to receive your second dose at the State Fair Grounds.

All vaccinations – first and second dose - will occur between the hours of 8:00 am and 3:30 pm. Vaccines will be administered through multiple drive-thru stations in the large parking lot parallel to I-20 and adjacent to Fair Grounds Field, 3701 Hudson.
