Shreveport Little Theatre is thrilled to announce that tickets are now on sale for The 39 Steps, a madcap theatrical comedy directed by Dr. Ray Scott Crawford. Opening September 5, this fast-paced production promises audiences an evening of nonstop laughter, suspense, and inventive storytelling.
A smash-hit adaptation of Alfred Hitchcock’s 1935 film, The 39 Steps cleverly blends the intrigue of a spy thriller with the absurdity of Monty Python-style comedy. The show features over 150 characters brought to life by just four actors, delivering lightning-fast costume changes, ingenious staging, and jaw-dropping versatility. Follow the charming Richard Hannay as he stumbles into a world of espionage, murder, and mistaken identity—racing from London to the Scottish Highlands in a whirlwind of theatrical imagination.

The 39 Steps is directed by Dr. Ray Scott Crawford, with assistant director David Brown. Eammon Tracey is serving as Production Stage Manager. The creative production team includes Set Design by David White, Costume Design by Kimberli Condon, Lighting Design by Julie Edwards, Sound Design by Zach Doucet, Properties Design by Jason Coffel, and Set Construction by Jade Dishman & Eugen Crook. Daniel Moore is set to star as Richard Hannay with Elise Birmingham as Annabella Schmidt.
