15-year-old pianist, Olivia Ajero will perform a solo piano recital in Cole Concert Hall at Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas on Saturday, October 14 at 2:30 pm featuring music by Bartók, Chopin, Ravel, and Schumann. Olivia was a winner of the Luzerne Music Center Concerto Competition in New York, a multiple-time winner of the Red River Radio Young Artists Competition, and a 1st prize winner in the Steinway & Sons Junior Piano Competition in Dallas. She studies piano with Linda Parr at Stephen F. Austin State University's Music Preparatory Division and with Minhae Lee at SFA's School of Music. The event is free and open to the public. Donations will be accepted to support the Nacogdoches Music Teachers Association's Mamie Middlebrook Scholarship for SFA music majors with an emphasis in piano.
