Come out and enjoy a casual paced hike through various types of habitats and see what some of the wonders that Louisiana has to offer. Starting at approximately 9:00 a.m., the guided hike will be led by a park naturalist, so feel free to ask all the questions you want about the local flora and fauna. Are you a go-it-alone kind of Hiker and would like to forego the group? That's ok too! The nature park has approximately five miles of trails and will open at 8:00 a.m. with the gates closing at 5:00 p.m. This is a free event with available parking, climate-controlled nature center to explore, restrooms, and a children's play room. Registration for guided hike is preferred but not required. You can register by calling the Nature park, messaging the park on Facebook, or using the link available on the Facebook event page or the website.
