A collection of authentic vintage fashions from 1880s to 1980s will be modeled in the Garden of the Green Gables Bed and Breakfast, 408 Lafayette St in Jefferson,Texas. Fifteen year old Rockin' Riley will begin playing and singing at 2;30 and the show begins at 3pm. The event is a fund raiser for the community thatre, The Opera HouseTheatre Players now in their 36th Season of productions. A table of snacks and punch wlll be available before and after the show.
The collection is from the 50 plus years collection of president and founder of the Players, Marcia Thomas, and has not been seen in Jefferson since 1976
when it was done as a fund raiser for the local library. Models range in age from 20s to 60s and will include one model who is only five years old Plans are
also to include a few military uniforms from WW 1 through WW 2 and the Korean and Vietnam periods.
