Written by Pulitzer Prize winner Branden Jacobs-Jenkins, Everybody reimagines Everyman, the quintessential medieval morality play – a religious allegory about death and salvation.

As the play unfolds, the audience encounters hilariously ridiculous pre-recorded voiceovers that depict Everybody’s friends comforting them at their deathbed, unexpected twists, and a clever reinventing of classic text to contemporary comedy. Though the narrative is focused on death, the result is absurdly fun. Everybody turns the biggest question of all—what happens when we die?—into a theatrical experience full of laughter, heart, and surprising insight.

“A play about love- or, rather, a play that shows how impossible it is to write about love- and it fills the heart in a new and unexpected way.” - The New Yorker
