John Bell, Sr. was a deacon here in the early 19th century and was excommunicated over controversies surrounding the unusual activity at his farm.

Dr. Cheryl White
Dr. Cheryl White is a Professor of History at LSU Shreveport, where she teaches Medieval and Early Modern Europe as well as British history. Dr. White has also been actively engaged in the field of local history, and she has published numerous books and journal articles.
