This week we present a new season of performance from the LA Opera opening with Bizet's Carmen featuring Ana María Martínez as Carmen, Brandon Jovanovich as Don José, Amanda Woodbury as Micaëla, and Alexander Vinogradov as Escamillo, with Liv Redpath, Kelley O’Connor, Brian Michael Moore, Theo Hoffman, Philip Cokorinos, and Juan Carlos Heredia. James Conlon will lead the LA Opera Orchestra and Chorus.

Airs Saturday, April 14, 2018, at 12 noon. The 2017-18 Metropolitan Opera Radio Broadcast season continues as Verdi’s Luisa Miller returns to the network for the first time since 2006. It stars Sonya Yoncheva as Luisa, and Piotr Beczala as Rodolfo, the lover she is forced to betray. Both artists make role debuts in this production. Singing Luisa’s father, Miller, Plácido Domingo also adds a new role to his repertoire – the 149th of his legendary career.

Airs Monday, August 25 at 11 a.m.  On this week's broadcast concert by the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra music director Manfred Honeck will be joined on stage by soprano Angela Meade, mezzo-soprano Kelley O’Connor, tenor Anthony Griffey, bass Alexander Vinogradov and the Mendelssohn Choir of Pittsburgh for a performance that opens with Christopher Theofanidis’ “The Gift" and concludes with Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9.
