Typically, Back to School means school supply lists, fresh book and lunch bags, and a new set of school uniforms. But for many students and teachers, going back to school can be an unsettling experience. Here to inform us of such experiences and provide solutions that will help students and teachers transition back to school are three educators in their own disciplines.

Successful coaches know how to motivate, train, and guide their players to see the big picture, one that extends beyond the field. They recognize their players as people first and coach them in ways that shape their personal lives and their endeavors in the professional world. In the studio tonight are three sports/life coaches who are using their platform to impact young men and women near and far.

Music is powerful. It reduces stress and relieves frustration. It impacts the brain circuits that process emotions. Music motivates and inspires us, and it helps us learn. For children, learning to perform music has significant advantages. Learning to play a musical instrument can improve mathematical learning and stimulate creativity in all areas of school performance. It helps students build motor skills and teaches them discipline, responsibility, and leadership. Joining us are three high school music directors who lead some of the most dynamic and influential music programs in our region. These band directors have seen the impact music education has on students, families, and the communities they serve.
