HOLIDAY SCAMS - SWEPCO IMPOSTERS - The holiday season brings a lot of good things but it also creates an opportunity for con-artists and scammers to take advantage of people in the way of posing as power company employees either over the phone or in person. There have been more than 200 cases reported in East Texas alone where people were told by someone on the telephone that they were with the power company and that they were going to cut off service unless they received immediate payment.  AEP-SWEPCO is trying to get the word out to help power consumers learn more about these scams and how to avoid becoming a victim.
