LeTourneau University Gets Patent for Microwave Welding Device

LONGVIEW, TEXAS - A patent was recently granted to LeTourneau University in Longview, Texas for a microwave device that can weld ceramics to metals. This new technique holds a lot of potential in numerous applications in defense, electronics, and aerospace industries.  Dr. Yoni Adonyi, one of two engineering professors at LeTourneau and a co-inventor of the device explains how this process works and future applications.

Chuck Smith brings more than 30 years' broadcast and media experience to Red River Radio.
