Louisiana Lt. Governor Nungesser Says International Tourist Numbers Are Up

TOURISM'S ECONOMIC IMPACT:   According to Louisiana's Lieutenant Governor - Billy Nungesser,  tourism numbers are up especially among international tourists and that is just one area of potential growth regarding the travel and hospitality industry.   Nungesser will be addressing the Louisiana Travel Promotion Association Summit on Wednesday,  August 24th as it officially kicks of with a breakfast at Shreveport's Convention Center.  Hundreds of travel and hospitality professionals will attend the three day conference to network and learn about new research and data sources regarding Louisiana tourism.

Chuck Smith brings more than 30 years' broadcast and media experience to Red River Radio. He began his career as a radio news reporter and transitioned to television journalism and newsmagazine production. Chuck studied mass communications at Southern Arkansas University in Magnolia and motion picture / television production at the University of California at Los Angeles. He has also taught writing for television at York Technical College in Rock Hill, South Carolina and video / film production at Centenary College of Louisiana, Shreveport.
