EMERALD ASH BORER -  Originally from Asia, this invasive species is responsible for destroying millions of Ash trees in the U.S. and Canada.  It has been found in 27 states and more recently discovered near Caddo Lake in East Texas.    As a result the Texas Department of Agriculture has issued a quarantine for Harrison County,  restricting firewood to be taken from the area in an effort to prevent the spread of this insect to other parts of the state.
