ZIKA VIRUS TRANSMITTED IN U.S. - According to the National Institutes of Health, two cases of mosquito-borne ZIKA virus transmission have occurred in southeast Florida.   The concern now is for persons living in coastal areas along the Gulf of Mexico to take more precautions as such areas are breeding grounds for mosquitoes which may carry the virus from infected persons.
