Airs Thursday, January 21, 2021, at 6 p.m. January is National Glaucoma Awareness Month. Glaucoma affects about 3 million people in the U.S., and it is the second leading cause of blindness. Those who have glaucoma may not notice early symptoms, so half of the people who have glaucoma don’t know that they have it. Dr. Randall Brewer is joined by Dr. Chanping Liang, Professor and Clinical Specialist of Ophthalmology at LSU Health Shreveport, and Dr. Aigerim Saulebayeva, third year ophthalmology resident at LSU Health Shreveport to talk about glaucoma and general eye health.
