Airs Thursday, November 7, 2019, at 6 p.m. Alzheimer's is the leading cause of dementia in the U.S with 5.8 million people living with the disease. Numbers are expected to rise. Tune in Thursday at 6 p.m. for Health Matters. Our host, Dr. Patrick Lavo, will be joined by Dr. Elizabeth Disbrow, Director of the Center for Brain Health and Associate Professor of Neurology at LSU Health Shreveport, and Stacey Hand, with the Alzheimer's Agency of Shreveport-Bossier, who will fill us in on current Alzheimer's treatments, research and help that is available for patients and families.
