Airs Saturday, May 18, 2019, at 12 noon. Once again the WFMT Fine Arts Networks bring us a summer filled with opera beginning with nine presentations from the Royal Opera House and the BBC. Their series opens with Giuseppe Verdi's Falstaff featuring Sir Bryn Terfel as Sir John Falstaff, with Ana Maria Martínez as Alice Ford, Simon Keenlyside as Ford, Anna Prohaska as Nanetta, and Frédéric Antoun as Fenton. This production also features Marie McLaughlin, Peter Hoare, Craig Colclough, and Michael Colvin. Nicola Luisotti will conduct the Royal Opera House Orchestra and Chorus.
