Airs Thursday, August 30, 2018, at 1 p.m. This week on Carnegie Hall Live the renowned Takács Quartet is featured in an emotionally stirring performance of Haydn's String Quartet, Op. 76, No. 5; Shostakovich's String Quartet No. 11; and Brahms' Second String Sextet. The Takács Quartet are Edward Dusinberre and Károly Schranz (violins), Geraldine Walther (viola) and András Fejér (cello). The quartet was joined by guest violist Ericka Eckert and guest cellist David Requiro.
