The San Francisco Symphony: Rimsky-Korsakov's Scheherazade

Airs Monday, July 9, 2018, at 1 p.m. This week the San Francisco Symphony Orchestra continues its season under the direction of Michael Tilson Thomas with a concert featuring violinist Alexander Barantschik in the tale of Scheherazade by Rimsky-Korsakov. The concert opens with Debussy's En blanc et noir orchestrated by Holloway and we'll also hear My Father Knew Charles Ives by Adams.
